A Patriotic PSA on Tariffs
Dear fellow Americans,
If you’re reading this after getting a surprise message from DHL, FedEx, or another global courier saying you owe an import duty to receive your order — congratulations! You’ve just experienced firsthand the effects of the “Liberation Day Tariffs.”
These tariffs were marketed as a tax on China, but — plot twist — they’re actually a tax on you, the consumer. The products are still made overseas, but now Uncle Sam grabs a piece before they land on your doorstep. Most SquareWheels orders are drop-shipped directly from the factory, so customs handles the calculation and collection. That’s why your package might arrive with a little patriotic price tag attached.
Let’s be real — it’s annoying. But here’s the truth:
👉 I’m not going to raise prices. I’ll continue offering gear at honest, transparent rates.
👉 Everyone else? Count on prices going up. Food, clothes, electronics — anything made in China is getting more expensive, and sellers who import in bulk are already adjusting their price tags to make up for the tariffs.
This is part of the reality of global trade in 2025. And while I can’t change the rules, I can keep treating you like a peer, not a payday. No hidden markups, no quiet increases — just the same culture-first commitment SquareWheels was built on.
Thanks for understanding, thanks for supporting, and thanks for being a part of something real.
Yours in torque and transparency,
Rob @ SquareWheels Automotive
